No algorithm, no assembly line. Someone who loves sound and asks, with curiosity: what is possible today?
The name
still · wen , a gentle light
still for the calm in which you can hear again. wen from the Cornish and Welsh, carrying the meaning of bright, light, blessed. Together: a gentle light that doesn’t dazzle, but warms.
That is the sound we look for. Music that doesn’t run you over, but stays , like still water with a single light resting on it.
The idea
Discovering what’s possible.
Stillwen grew from curiosity , from the urge to shape songs you can fall into. Not „finally I can make music”, but „let’s see what happens when a human really masters the best tools of our time”.
From that came more: our own songs to listen to , and music for others. For brands, for videos, for the moments that deserve a song.
Human + AI
We hide nothing.
Yes, we use AI. As a tool , the way a photographer uses a camera. An AI doesn’t feed itself. It has no feeling, no taste, no sense for the moment when a sound carries and another one falls flat. The human brings that.
Sound design, emotion, dramaturgy, the final polish , that is craft. We guide the tool so that, in the end, it isn’t mass-produced goods, but something real. Something with a person behind it.
